Tahnnakai Temple: Masters reward advice needed!
I just can't seem to get the Master's reward for this mission. I have finished it only twice, out of at least 20 attempts (got Expert's reward). For some reason we always end up dying at the Ranger boss, Zojun (#6). I always hench the missions, and have got the Master's reward for all the missions previous to this as well as the following 2 missions (I had 7 mins to spare for Arborstone and 6 mins to spare for Boreas Seabed).
I have tried pulling, but even with the compass flag things Togo and Mhenlo always follow me and charge in when I use my longbow. Their death ends the mission so I usually have to charge straight in like an idiot. 10v20+ aren't good odds if you ask me.
If by some chance the Master's reward is possible to get, tell me which henchmen to use (because although the henchmen in Factions suck bigtime, they are still preferable to pugging (I have Olias, if that helps)), what strategies to use, and any other things I need to do.
So far, I cannot seem to get any useful hench teams. Last attempt, I took both Monks and both Rits, and they STILL couldn't heal us. So thats 5 healers (don't forget Mhenlo) supporting 10 people. That's BS if you ask me. They should easily have enough healing power to use wand attacks every now and again.
I have all 3 campaigns, so I can get almost anything needed. I also have Razorstone, a perfect Shocking Flamberge of Fortitude, and a perfect Fiery Righteous Maul of Fortitude (both are 15^50). My builds for sword and axe are:
Triple Chop
Executioners Strike
Dismember
Penetrating Chop
Penetrating Blow
Flurry
Healing Signet
Resurrection Signet
Keep in mind I'm not looking for a complete skill overview, just mention if theres something specific I might need.
Sun and Moon Slash
Standing Slash
Galrath Slash
Silverwing Slash
Dragon Slash
Flurry
Healing Signet
Resurrection Signet
Anyway, If you can be bothered after reading all of that, help away!

i'd like to help. I'm monk and that mission is "nearly" impossible to hench. Whisper me in game, My IGN is Manon Xaphikon. If any other members would like to join in, that's really appreciated.
I am a boon healer, my healing skills heal for 150+ health. If we take me and another healer hench we might complete it. If we could just make Mhenlo and Togo follow me, you would be able to pull mobs with your longbow, without failing.

Well this one isnt too hard
Take Olias as a MM, Take an High powered ele, (preferable not a nuker since the cast time and recharges take to long) but any AoE or High damage spiker should be ok and take teh Mesmer Hero if u have him, as a Interupter/Empathy etc. Then take the 2 monk henchies, take another Ele henchman and then take something of ur choice. The MM should soak up the damage once get him going, and the eles will help take the enemys down to reduce there numbers and therefore stop u healers getting out matched.
Your build should include Res sig (ur heros too) then take a largly offensive build either sword Axe or Hammer, but make sure u have some kinda of self heal and condition removal.
Then in the mission, charge the enemys 1 group at a time, pull groups away where neccissary so u dont get overwhelmed. If sholdnt be too difficult for u, just remember to be agressive but not overly agressive. generally leave the bosses till last in each area, (aside from the Necro boss and the Assassin boss since they can be attacked before some of the other groups.
Your timer needs to be increasing generally so u need to kill each boss in UNDER 2 mins.
I hope that helps atleast a little . GL

Always pull with a hero, not yourself. Place you main flag where you want to engage, then send a hero to pull the mob you want (preferably a ranger/bow user, but anyone will do). That way the vital NPCs will stick at the back with you, and you can move in when you're confident that things are under control and the NPCs won't get creamed. It also gives you lots of room to move if you make a bad pull. That alone is almost enough to get you masters on any mission.
If you've got access to a monk or ele hero, powered Heal Party is great for mopping up damage from afflicted explosions and the Temple Guardian AoEs. With Togo and Mhenlo, you should be able to get away with just having 1 healer and 1 rit, then stacking up on damage and just smashing everything before they can put out too much damage. That's probably more of a playstyle preference though, but you're definitely not running anywhere near enough damage for the type of mobs you're facing.

You might consider bringing party-buffs to help mehnlo and Togo.
"Shields up!" seems like a good choice on your warrior as the ranger boss is where you have problems.
"Watch yourself" - I love this skill
"Wild blow" - to prevent the whirling defense/ranged minions bomb (don't remember if the rangers there use stances, but if they do this helps alot).
If I'd have to try with heros/henchies I'd take 2 x SF ele + MM as heros, Rt, 2x Mo and a whatever as henchies). As you don't have the 2 eles unlocked...meh
My toons all did this in a pug however.

What you have to remember with the henchmen monks is that they will waste their energy, by
1. all healing the same character
2. all rezzing the same character
3. constant healing of the minions if you bring an MM

What do you use to kill mobs then with, old age?
You're too defensive. Offense is best defense. Save celestial skill for boss only.
You only need 2 healers. The rest should be all out dps. Since you have all campaigns, bring 2 SF eles and a MM. Put ward against elements and melee on each of eles. Try to add Stand your ground on one of the characters. Bring earth hench if you can get it. Bring watch yourself as well. And make sure to charge in first, possible as W/E with obsidian flesh to absorb the initial caster spike.

Ok then, I'll try that.

I have no problems with the ranger boss, it's just the 56749 other monsters around it that make it unreasonably hard. Watch Yourself may be useful though.

Yes, I knew this before but I have almost no heroes (although Zenmai is up to lvl 20 but still has no unlocks) and I'm stuck with them.

Well unless I take 3 healers I can't get very far. And what is a celestial skill and where do I get one... nevermind I'll do a Wiki search. BTW, if you read the part about me not having any heroes other then Olias and Zenmai, then you would know that I can't have SF heroes .

Celestial skills aren't in that mission; they're special skills in Raisu Palace and some other missions.
I've never gotten masters on it, and I usually get stuck on the Starburst boss.
From what other people have told me, you only should have two healers, and the rest offense (got to kill quickly for Masters). Disable all res skills on your heroes so they don't keep trying to Res in the middle of battle.
Good luck! If you haven't finished, and wouldn't mind having a nub in your party, I'd be happy to try and help. My IGN is Lady Eilsys.

i hero/henched masters, took me 2 trys to get the team just right. i used my ranger with ele secondary using barage and congure flame mainly and a couple of interupts. i took Olias and Master of Whispers. Olias was MM and Whispers was curses/blood. i took my Dunkoro loaded with 5E heals, took Aidan, Talon, Devona, Sister Tai. a few ticks under 19min FTW. if u know the mission well then you know there is stuff you can avoid fighting to gain a few extra ticks of time. i set heros on guard, they seem to follow you better when you drop a flag to break agro or not over agro.

I got masters on that mission last night with a full AI team. Had Olias as my MM using the Icy Veins build and my 2 eles as Searing Flame specialists. Completely powered through the mission as a warrior with that line up. Died the first time due to over aggro over at Vizu but after that no problems. Used the same hero line up for Vizunah, Nahpui and Raisu. Went right thru them. Heck it even helped me clear Raisu in 14 minutes.

Ok, first thing I'd like to say is..
OMG I FINISHED IT IN 20:05!?!!?!!? OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was using the following:
Me (Warrior)
Olias (MM (I tried some weird build with wells, putrid explosion and some other random crap but I changed back))
Talon Silverwing (Fighter hench)
Healer hench x2
Rit hench
Ele hench x2 (either Cynn and the earth dude or Cynn and the air dude)
However, things have improved since then. Heres how I'm going...
Me
Olias (MM hero)
DUNKORO (healer hero (WoH))
TAHLKORA (protection hero (I don't know what elite... I think I'll go cap Blessed Light...))
Rit hench
Talon Silverwing (Figher hench)
Cynn
Earth/Air ele hench

The Factions hench are actually quite good. If you can't get Experts on the mission, it's not their fault.
I took my Elonan ranger through Factions recently. I did that mission in around 15 minutes. I took Olias and Master of Whispers sets as MM. I aslo brought Dunkoro, then used fighter hench, the healer hench and a random hench for filler.
